We’re supporting Tonia!
Please help Tonia Couch realise her dream to compete at the London 2012 Olympics in the 10m Individual diving competition.
We are delighted that elite diver Tonia Couch, who trains at Plymouth Life Centre managed by Everyone Active, has been selected to compete in the 10m Synchro at the London 2012 Olympic Games with her partner Sarah Barrow. But as the most successful female platform diver Great Britain has ever seen, it would be expected that Tonia would also be picked for the 10m individual event. Sadly, Tonia was NOT chosen despite taking silver in the British Gas Diving Championships on 9th June 2012.

Hundreds of people have already signed the petition set up by The Plymouth Herald calling on Team GB to reverse its decision to leave Plymouth’s Tonia Couch out of the individual 10m platform diving event at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Tonia’s coach Andy Banks has launched an appeal to overturn the decision: this appeal has been accepted and a preliminary date for the hearing has been set for 28th June. The appeal is expected to be heard in London and the initial cost for legal representation is estimated to be around £2,500.
As one of Tonia’s sponsors, Everyone Active has donated £1000 to the appeal and set up an appeal fund with The Plymouth Herald for people who wish to donate and help her fight her case.
