It's not every sporting venue that can claim to be one of the nation's pre-2012 Olympic training venues. But it's the home grown successes of our trampolinists and staff that is putting our facility in the spotlight once again.
On the back of our best results at The British National Championships for five years, (where we scooped 12 finalists: 3 Individual National Champions; 2 National Team Champions; 1 Super Team Gold; 1 Individual Silver; 1 Team Silver; 2 Synchro Silvers; 1 Synchro Bronze and 2 Super Team Bronzes) 11 of our Olga athletes have been selected to represent team GBR. In addition to staff members Brian Camp and Sharon Wood, having been appointed Head Coach and Head of Delegation respectively.
Our stars, which includes Nathan Bailey, Zachary Sheridan, Kayvon Arasteh, Jason Ryall, Joe Berry and Rebecca Finch will pit their talents internationally at the GBR V GER youth international (24-26th September) and World Age Group Games in Metz, France (16-20th November).
Commenting on the recent successes, Sharon Wood, General Manager said: “Our club and most importantly our athletes continue to go from strength to strength and everyone connected to the club is delighted at our progress. We medaled well at The British National Championships in July, where 22 of our 26 trampolinists came back with a medal, and now 11 of the 40 strong GBR trampolining team, plus myself and Brian, will have an Olga connection. It's quite an achievement locally, nationally and internationally”.
A state of the art facility Olga offers gymnastics and trampolining to children of all ages and abilities. The club is a pre-2012 training venue, following an intensive selection process, and is hoping to attract nations to train at the facilities during the build up to the London Olympics.
