Thanks to funding from the Borough of Poole and Ashdown Technology School, Ashdown Leisure Centre has recently undergone a significant improvement programme.
The existing community wing that joins the Leisure Centre with the school has been refurbished to provide a state of the art aerobics studio and new kitchen area as well as the redecoration and general updating of the toilets and entrance area.
This refurbishment programme means that the school will be able to continue with its timetabled activities in the new studio and the general public will benefit from an extended timetable of classes.
Iain Stokes, Centre Manager, hopes this refurbishment will lead to greater use to the leisure centre’s space. “With the much improved facilities now available, the school and public can use the existing space to great effect and we are able to offer more activities to a wider range of people. This all helps with our goal of getting people active for 30 minutes five times a week.”
The new class timetable will be available soon to all customers by visiting Ashdown Leisure Centre.
