A week on Saturday Rachael Dawes will be getting dropped off with her bike at John O’Groats in Scotland and then setting off towards Lands End in Cornwall. She is hoping to complete the distance over 8 days, still be in one piece at the end and raise money for Epilepsy Research UK along the way!
Epilepsy Research UK supports and promotes basic and clinical scientific research into the causes, treatments and prevention of epilepsy. Epilepsy Research UK supports the work of scientists and clinicians throughout the UK, who are investigating all aspects of epilepsy in both adults and children. They are especially looking at what causes epilepsy, who gets it, what goes on in the brain during a seizure, and safer drugs and better surgical techniques to treat it.
Rachael comments, "They have helped me a lot over this last year and I would love to be able to give something back. Please donate anything you can as every little helps."
