Festival Hall Colleague Raises over £2000 for Charity

One of our colleagues Claudia Pitter –Nowell has completed the Edinburgh Marathon as part of the Hairy Haggis team raising over £2000 for the SSAFA Forces Help charity which does incredible work behind the scenes not only for those deployed but critically for the families left behind and most importantly for those who are injured or killed.

Claudia comments, “This is a vitally important charity providing essential services to all our forces and their families but does not get as much help or recognition as it should do.”

Claudia was part of an all female team of Hairy Haggises featuring her mum, Madeleine, Andrea and Judy. Also completing the marathon were the boys from the forces including her brother Jamie Nowell, Rob Suckling and Tricky Dane.

The day was extremely hot and not the best for running in but the task was completed by all in a superb setting and everyone enjoyed it that much that future events may well be planned in to raise further much needed funds.
