Surinda Fowler a Cleethorpes Leisure Centre member is currently training for the 2009 London Marathon. On target to raise funds for a new ‘AIC Haemoglobin Machine’ for the local hospital, Surinda is running the race in memory of her mum, who died of Diabetes.
Surinda, who has already raised nearly £5,000 for other local charities, has only recently become a member of Everyone Active.
Together with the support of Everyone Active, Surinda has helped raise sponsorship prizes for the race already. The marathon is set for Sunday 26th April and there is a presentation booked for Friday 15th May for the life saving machine to be delivered to it’s new home, as Surinda has already blasted her target and raised enough funds to secure the vital equipment.
