New and improved Watford Woodside Move it Area

Everyone Active Watford Woodside Leisure Centre will be the first choice for everyone to get active thanks to a £52,000 refurbishment.

Our gym is a thriving facility which always strives to deliver a first class service and recognises each members individual needs in terms of their fitness goals and aspirations.

We are incredibly excited to announce the following developments at Woodside:

New ‘Move it’ area which comprises of:

  • Punch/ Strike, power zone ( includes kettle bells and Vipe-R),
  • Balance( Core work and top of the range equipment to assist in a core workout)
  • 10 metre running area with hurdles
  • TRX ( TRX -Professional suspension training system harnesses your own bodyweight to create resistance as you train. That’s all you need- the TRX and your own body weight – no additional weights are required. Suspension training builds superior muscular balance, joint stability, mobility, and core strength helping you perform better and also improves posture and prevents injuries).
  • 4 Trixter bikes (virtual workout bikes that you can connect and compete against your workout buddy) and 2 more powerplates to now enhance our range to 4…..

 

The ‘Move it’ area is a first for the area and will boast incredible zones and opportunities for members to easily achieve their fitness goals, the whole area will more than cater for a whole body workout, it is simply a ‘gym within a gym’, and we will be able to provide the best possible Personal training to further advance members fitness achievements.

Look out for ‘Move it workshops’ in the gym that you can book on-line:

  • Strength: with the Vip-R Kettle bells (RED ZONE) and TRX (YELLOW ZONE)
  • TRX: Professional suspension training system harnesses your own bodyweight to create resistance as you train. That’s all you need- the TRX and your own body weight – no additional weights are required. Suspension training builds superior muscular balance, joint stability, mobility, and core strength helping you perform better and also improves posture and prevents injuries.
  • Punch/Strike: Reaction trainers, technique bag and pad work, improves agility, reaction and full cardio workout (White zone)
  • Trixter bikes: Challenge workshops compete with other members in a virtual dessert or the Highlands.
  • Balance: This will include core work with the Reebok deck, Bozu, medicine and core balls, and the TRX system.
  • Move it circuit: This will encompass the whole area so it will be a fast paced circuit session with TRX, (Yellow Zone) balance (Green zone) strength, (Red Zone) Punch (White zone) that will also include the 10 metre running track with hurdles (Grey zone). This type of circuit is ideal for a first class PT session as it will work a member’s agility, CV, fitness endurance, muscular strength and ply metric ability) Incredible USP for the gym and PT as there is no other centre in the South East that can boast this type of facility.
