Elsie Herridge, aged 10 of Langham, couldn’t believe her luck when she re-enrolled in her swimming lessons at Waterfield Leisure Pools and won a trip to Disneyland Paris.
Elsie, her sister Xanthe, aged 6, and mum and dad were treated to a luxury three night stay at the Disney resort. Elsie was chosen as the national winner of a promotion run in 43 leisure centres managed by Everyone Active. The lucky Herridge family were treated like royalty with first class tickets to London and overnight accommodation before their journey on Eurostar to Disneyland Paris.
“When Martin rang me from Waterfield Leisure Pools, I thought it was a joke,” commented Samantha, Elsie’s mum. “We’ve been promising the girls that we would take them to Disneyland Paris but just never got round to it. I didn’t even realise that the promotion was running at the centre but both Elsie and Xanthe did.”
Elsie was delighted with her fortune. “Disneyland Paris was great – it was a really magical place and we had such a great time – thank you so much.”
Elsie was picked from over 42,000 entrants who all re-enrolled on their swimming lessons in Everyone Active centres throughout the UK. “We were so lucky to have won the prize,” said Samantha. “The girls have both been coming to lessons at Waterfield Leisure Pools for four years and they both really enjoy swimming. Winning this trip was a fantastic surprise and was truly the experience of a lifetime.”
The trip was co-ordinated by Leanne Searle from Thomas Cook travel agents in Melton Mowbray who worked with the team at Everyone Active Waterfield Leisure Pools to ensure that the Herridge family had a trip of a lifetime.
