Main Hall

In our main hall you can play badminton, basketball, netball and football. Please ask at reception for more information.

 

Badminton

We have 4 courts that can be booked for 30 minute sessions up to 2 hours.  If you are a member you can book up to 2 weeks in advance, if you are not a member you can book and pay for courts 3 days in advance.  Courts can be booked from 6.30am till 10.30pm Mon, Wed and Fri, 9.00am till 10.30pm Tues and Thurs, 9.00am - 5.00pm Saturday and 9.00am - 9.00pm Sunday.

We have Open badminton sessions on:

Monday 7.00pm – 10.00pm and Friday 10.00am – 12.00pm where you can come along and play matches with others.  Games are organised to ensure everyone plays with people of their own standard; this is also a social session where you can relax with a coffee which is available at reception.

 

Squash Courts

We have 4 squash courts, 1 being a glass backed court.  Courts can be booked for 30 minute sessions up to 2 hours.  If you are a member you can book up to 2 weeks in advance, if you are not a member you can book and pay for courts 3 days in advance.  Courts can be booked from 6.30am till 10.30pm Mon, Wed and Fri, 9.00am till 10.30pm Tues and Thurs, 9.00am -, 5.00pm Saturday and 9.00am - 9.00pm Sunday. 

 

Table Tennis

We have one table that can be booked for 30 minute sessions up to 2 hours.  If you are a member you can book up to 2 weeks in advance, if you are not a member you can book and pay for courts 3 days in advance.  Courts can be booked from 6.30am till 10.30pm Mon, Wed and Fri, 9.00am till 10.30pm Tues and Thurs, 9.00am - 5.00pm Saturday and 9.00am - 9.00pm Sunday.

 

 

Fitness

Our fully equipped fitness studio enable customers to have a full workout with fitness motivators on hand to give advice and encouragement. Our group exercise programme benefits from a wide range of classes during the day, evening and weekend.  All classes need to be booked. If you are a member you can book up to 2 weeks in advance, if you are not a member you can book and pay for courts 3 days in advance. Crèche

Our crèche is open each weekday morning so that parents can take part in activity knowing their children will be well looked after.  Children can come from 6 weeks old.  Colourful toys and activities ensure your child enjoys their stay and learns to interact with other children of the same age.

Every Kid Active Referal Scheme

This scheme was set up in 2011 as a partnership between Everyone Active and West Essex PCT (now South Essex Partnership Trust).  We work with local primary and junior schools getting children more active. We offer a six week course ranging from Sporting FUNdamentals, gymnastics, football or trampolining to using the gym for children over 11.

Each child gets a booklet where they can track their activity which also give top tips on nutrition.  For more infomation, contact David Cowell the scheme manager at Epping.

Community & Corporate Partnerships

Epping Forest District Council Sports Development Dept
The Council’s Sports Development Team provides a professional service of sports coaching, health & fitness development and general leisure provision, throughout the district on a year round basis.  With specialist Sports Development Officers in football, racket sports and fitness, children and young people of all abilities have the opportunity to learn new skills or improve existing ones, under the expert guidance of our team of qualified staff.  They also have staff that work with adults and the 50+, with specific programmes to encourage participation in physical activity, sport and social activities including dancing and special day trips.


West Essex Sports Partnership

The West Essex School Sports Partnership (SSP) is made up of 41 schools from the Epping Forest area and is based at Davenant Foundation School. Partnership Development Manager, co-ordinates the partnership, bringing together Schools, Local Authority, National Governing Bodies, Clubs, Coaches and Volunteers to allow young people opportunities to take part in physical activity.

This years PESSCL data is back from YST and the Partnership has preformed extremely well! The headline indicator of the % of students taking part in 2 hours of PE and school sport is up from 88% last year to 95% this year.

Exercise Referral SchemeThe exercise referral scheme lasts for 10 weeks and is supervised by qualified colleagues who will make sure that you will have a safe, effective and enjoyable start to a more active healthier lifestyle.

Who will benefit?
Exercise can play a key role in assisting postoperative recovery, mobility, insomnia, back pain and weight loss, as well as improving self-esteem and fitness. In addition, research has proven that regular exercise can improve a broad range of physical and psychological medical conditions including amongst others;

  • diabetes
  • arthritis
  • obesity
  • hypertension
  • asthma
  • anxiety
  • depression

 

We link with a number of local doctors, hospitals and the Primary Care Trust. These include:
