October 2013

Theresa Antonio

Thersea (Moira) has been training very consistently since her membership started in July. The gym environment is a new experience for Moira, as taking to the dance floor used to be the way she kept fit.

Moira is a warm and friendly person who has taken time to get to know other members and the Fitness Team. She has taken on board our advice and tried new classes to get the most out of her activity sessions and recently used her improved fitness to take on and complete the ‘Memory Walk’ for charity.

Well done & keep up the hard work.

Member Of The Year

David - Easton Leisure Centre
Every month, the Fitness Team will gather together for a discussion on which members have performed exceptionally well, stood out from the crowd, achieved great things or have just been consistently active and made the centre a more enjoyable environment to be in.
Everything is taken into account!

To recognise their efforts, a member is nominated every month.
A summary account can be seen on the ‘Member of the Month’ Board.
A whole year has now passed and so our ‘Members of the Year’ have been selected having stood out even more for their consistent efforts, enthusiasm, hard work, and achievements.

Almost 2 years ago, David started using the gym on the Better Breathing programme, he made great progress and has stuck with a regular exercise schedule ever since. David attends the gym 3-4 times per week and shows true dedication and determination to lead an active and healthy lifestyle.
Our Congratulations go to David!

Well done everyone & keep up the hard work.
We are always on the look out for future Members of the Month
– next month it could be you!

September 2013

Arib Hussain

Arib has made huge improvements in his fitness and activity levels since being a member at Easton LC. By making changes to his nutrition intake and being consistent with his exercise, Arib has lost a massive 33kg over the last 2 years!

This is a great example of persevering with a healthier lifestyle and keeping an end goal in mind to strive for. By making use of the encouragement and advice from the Fitness Team and enjoying a motivating atmosphere to be active in, it is down to Arib’s hard work that has paid off and hopefully will continue along the same path.

Well done & keep up the hard work.

Dominic has made a great start since joining the gym and impressed us with being as regular as clockwork with his sessions.

Making use of all of the facilities, including classes and core workshops, he has enjoyed exercising and felt the benefits form his active and healthy lifestyle.

Dominic is also a friendly face to lots of other members and the Fitness Team. We encourage and promote this at Easton as it contributes to the welcoming atmosphere we work on to achieve so all customers can experience a positive environment to be active in.

Ron Alcorn

Ron Alcorn is an excellent example of ‘rarely seen these days’ training discipline, consistency and pure dedication. Using combination of group exercise classes, PT sessions and his own training he outreaches many people half his age with his fitness level.

Being 58 this year he did his first novice triathlon event and finished it in 15th place!

Ron is known in the gym as a man with principle, great manners and modesty. Always putting effort into every workout and class.

September 2012

Congratulations to Andy Smith who has been nominated as Easton Leisure Centre's September 2012 Member of the Month!

Since coming to Bristol, Andy has had to overscome many barriers to improve his fitness & wellbeing. Part of this has involved joining the gym at Easton to improve his health & confidence.  He has remained consistent with his exercise, always has a positive outlook and works hard to stay active.

Andy has seen great improvements by making the most of the services in the gym. He books reviews regularly, takes part in monthly gym challenges & asks the Fitness Team about various training methods to keep his exercise varied.

Well done from all at Easton & keep up the hard work!
