About this Centre
More than just a swimming pool, Sunderland Aquatic Centre offers a huge range of fitness and activity options. Alongside the 50m main swimming pool, which can be split into two 25m pools, there is also a diving pool. The centre also boasts and enormous 140-station gym, as well as a variety both virtual and instructor-led group fitness classes that cater for all ages and abilities. Furthermore, kids can also work off that extra energy in our fantastic fun soft play area.

Our gym is situated over two floors and boasts over 140 pieces of top-of-the-range TechnoGym cardio and strength equipment. This includes Pure Strength machines, Cable Cross Overs, Olympic lifting platforms, Watt Bikes, Power Plates and our unique Octane machines and OMNIA training stations.
Swimming Pool
Our 50m Olympic-sized pool can be split into two 25m pools, and you can choose from a variety of different activities. These include lane swimming sessions and our award-winning swimming lessons and diving lessons, which are perfect for all ages and abilities.
Pool Inflatable
Our Atlantis Adventure Mega Inflatable is back, and it’s bigger and better than before!
Come along and join in the fun with the region’s biggest mega inflatable. Sessions for children and adults aged eight and above can be found here at the Aquatic Centre every weekend (excluding gala events) and throughout the school holidays.
