About this Centre
Although built in 1892, Camberwell leisure centre features some of the most modern equipment in the Everyone Active stable, having been recently renovated. The two pools play host to our award-winning swimming lessons, while the state-of-the-art gym is the perfect place to get fit, lose weight and tone up. Furthermore, you can also enjoy a huge range of group fitness classes that are suitable for everyone, while you can also relax, refuel and refresh yourself in our cafe after your workout too.
All Southwark residents have access to free swim and gym sessions in council-owned centres at certain times during the week.
This centre has implemented a cashless system. This has significantly reduced queuing times and improved customer service.

Camberwell Leisure Centre Facilities
Gym
Our large, recently-refurbished gym hosts 130 stations, including the latest TechnoGym cardio and resistance equipment. There’s also a large functional area that includes battle ropes and medicine balls. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff are also on hand to help when needed.
Group Fitness Studio
Our group fitness studio plays host to a variety of different classes. Whatever your fitness goals may be, you’re sure to find the right class for you, while the social nature of the sessions means you can meet new people too.
Swimming Pool
Camberwell swimming pool offers a historic place to swim, opened in 1892 as Camberwell Baths with original features retained we offer a 25m swimming pool with five lanes of swimming whether you want to do laps or take a leisurely swim. We also offer award-winning swimming lessons.
Group Cycling Studio
Our large dedicated group cycling studio offers virtual classes with our expert trainers, with fully interactive consoles and an amazing atmosphere provided with lights and sound, there is no better place to cycle and keep fit, as well as getting to know new people.
