Birthday Parties

We have a great range of childrens birthday parties available ranging from £112.00-£143.00.

This great price includes:

  • A 2 hour party (except Disco parties):
  • 15 minutes to set up, 1 hour of Activity & 45 minutes for your party food, drinks & cake
  • Disco parties are 1 hour 45 minutes long:
  • 15 minutes to set up, 1 hour of Activity & 30 minutes for your party food, drinks & cake

You will also receive a party host (excluding Mega Wet ‘n’ Wild), invitations, helium balloons, table cloths, a birthday card and a free party room for you all to meet before the party begins and to enjoy some party food after we’ve worn them all out.

Tennis Active Academy Coaching Programme

A FREE taster session is available for new players throughout the term. A terms coaching fees are payable in full and in advance to Active Academy prior to the start of the term. All taster sessions and the coaching programme will be held on the outside courts except for Mini Reds which will be in hall. All coaches are LTA registered and have a valid DBS, Safe Guarding and First Aid Certificate.

Everyone Active School of Dance

Come and participate in a free trial of any of our dance genres: Ballet, Tap, Modern & Jazz. Meet our fully qualified ISTD dance teachers. Mrs Natasha Ballinger, Miss Sofie Atkins,Miss Shelley Aldridge & Miss Anna Bolwell.

Your child can enjoy many opportunities such as, competitions, exams, performances and to perform on stage at our annual dance show at Ferneham Hall.

The dance school is in its fifth year and has seen some great successes. We have had two sell out annual performances at the ‘Ashcroft Arts Centre’ and 3 shows at ‘Ferneham Hall’. The children have also had the opportunity to perform with the Strictly Come Dancing Stars ‘Christina and Ian’ at our Westcroft centre opening. We have also had children perform in pantomimes, demonstrations and children qualifying to the semi finals of the All England Championships.

Regardless of your child’s age, 3 – 16 there is something for everyone. We see the childrens confidence grow and every session is enjoyed. It is a fun, friendly atmosphere with passionate and supportive teachers and we pride ourselves on delivering sessions with fully qualified staff. The childrens safety and enjoyment is our no.1 priority.

There’s nothing more important than watching your child learn new skills, keeping fit and loving every minute of it! That’s why more and more parents are bringing their children along to Little Kickers classes. Giving your child a head start in sport is a real investment. Active Antz

Active Ants is an exciting playtime activity for the under 5’s at Fareham Leisure Centre! These fun playtime sessions include, soft shapes, tunnels, ball pools, slides and the big bouncy castle.

This is a great family fun time, where your child can develop balance, agility, co-ordination and confidence whilst having fun with you and other children. With our fantastic all year round soft play sessions your child will get the opportunity to climb, bounce, balance and slide. These 60 minute pay and play sessions are an ideal way for your child to be active in a safe environment. Parents accompany their children to this session and can watch their child’s physical and social skills develop.

Session Times: Wednesday 13.15pm – 14.15pm, Thursday 13:15pm – 14:15pm, Sunday 09:00am – 10:00am and 10.10am – 11.10am

Under Fives Gymnastics

With our mini gymnastics for pre school children, your child will develop a wide range of core skills including agility, balance and co-ordination and enhance their social skills within a structured 40 minute class. We have two age group classes for children from 18 months to 2.5 years and 2.5-5 years. Parents must accompany their children in the under 2.5’s class so the children feel safe and secure that mum/dad is not far away. Our pre school gymnasts work towards the British Gymnastics Fundamental learning pathways scheme.

Junior Gymnastics

Our junior gymnastics classes for girls and boys from 5-10 years are an excellent way for children to improve their agility, balance, co-ordination, conditioning and flexibility. Gymnasts will learn basic skills on vault, floor, trampette and beam in a 60 minute fun but structured session. During the course a variety of skills are taught on all apparatus, all gymnasts work towards the British Gymnastics badge scheme under the guidance of our fully qualified coaches.

Term Time Courses: Tuesday 16:00pm and 17:00pm Wednesday 16:00pm and 17:00pm Friday 16:00pm, 17:00pm and 18:00pm

Active Kids Holiday Club

Why not join our Active Kidz club – an OFSTED registered Holiday Playscheme which caters for children aged 5 – 12 years old. Activities include team games, swimming (over 8’s only), trampoline, football, basketball, rounders, cricket, indoor athletics, bouncy castle, arts & crafts and playground games.

We run 08:00 – 17:30 over every school holiday.

Active at School

Active at School programme targets age range 9-15 and at Fareham Leisure Centre we have partnership with Orchard Lea School, Uplands Primary School, we are looking to expand our programme and get primary and secondary schools on board with this. This is still a 6 week programme involving Circuits, Gymnastics, Boxercise, Boot camp, Dance and Fun & Games Session. After the course is complete we offer a range of activities including Active Kids session on a Saturday, Family Swim, guest passes for the gym, guest passes for group exercise classes and discounts on swimming lessons.

Active Academy – After School Tennis

‘It’s time to hit!’ with Active Academy Tennis at Fareham Leisure Centre. Come along for a taster with your first session free!


  • Ages 4-6 years: 16.00-16.45

Coaching fees are payable in full and in advance to Active Academy prior to the start of the terms coaching. Sessions will be held in the main sports hall.

Go Programme

Girls only programme partnership with local secondary schools. We target secondary schools in the borough and work with the ‘Girls only’ in dance. We aim to provide a show with the girls and display it to the parents of these children.

Essential Badminton Course

Day/Time: Thursday’s 17:30-16:30
Price: £40.00 for 6 week course

Our essential badminton course will be starting on Thursday 2nd June. All of the sessions will be coached by an official England badminton coach. This course will help you develop your badminton skills, meet new people and have fun. Also you will take home a FREE badminton racquet away at the end of the course. What’s on offer…

Fareham Leisure Centre’s Active 50+ Club meets every Monday and Friday morning from 9.30am to 1.15pm. There are keep fit sessions, Aerobics, Line Dancing, Badminton, Short Tennis, Table Tennis, Outdoor Tennis, Racketball, Squash, Gymnasium, Swimming and Sauna.

If you don’t feel like being energetic but still want to exercise your lungs you can join the award winning Choir which meet on Fridays. After exercising your lungs you can relax with a bite to eat and a beverage in our Everyone Active Café.

As an Active 50+ member you will be able to participate in many social activities organised by our Club 50+ rep. These social events include dances, trips to the theatre, holidays both in this country and abroad, plus much more!

What is Exercise Referral?

Its not about pounding the gym, there are a whole range of opportunities inside and outside of Fareham Leisure Centre that you can participate in.

You will be supported by a qualified member of the exercise referral team, helping you to enjoy and maintain physical activity as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Our role is to help you become more active and to:

  • Encourage you to start a suitable exercise programme
  • Encourage you to adopt a healthier lifestyle
  • Advise you on how to exercise safely
  • Offer you access to special discounts and group exercise sessions
  • Assist you with queries
  • Support you throughout the programme

Who is Exercise Referral for?

Any adult who already has a pre-existing or health risk condition, which can benefit from exercise or those at risk through a non—active lifestyle, can be referred. You can be referred to the scheme for any of the following health conditions;

  • High Blood Pressure
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Obesity
  • Asthma
  • Mental Health (Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Postnatal Depression)
  • Osteoarthritis
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Back Care (following NHS pathway)
  • Stroke
  • Cancer

How do I get started?

Your GP or health professional can refer you to the Exercise Referral Scheme by completing the necessary referral form.

What are the benefits of regular physical exercise?

Regular physical exercise can benefit your heart, weight, muscle, and mind. Physical exercise can help protect you from developing health problems, or assist you to manage and control existing problems.

What will I learn by participating in the scheme?

During the session you will learn how physical exercise can positively effect your health and well-being. You will have the opportunity to meet new people, understand your body’s needs and enjoy yourself.

What does it cost?

The initial hour assessment costs £8.95 where a suitable activity plan will be agreed between you and your instructor

You will have an initial, mid and end of programme consultation

  • Week 1, Initial consultation (1 hour)
  • Week 5, Mid programme consultation (30 minutes) £4.80
  • Week 10, End of Programme consultation (30 minutes), £4.80

What is available to me?

You can visit either Leisure Centre as often as you like on times and days that suit you, subject to your activity plan

  • 2 x Personal training sessions, £4.38 per session (daytimes)
  • Six specific group exercise classes, £1.75 per session
  • Supervised gym sessions, £4.38 per session. (Only held at Fareham)
  • 40% discount available on usual prices for swimming, gym, classes whenever we are open.
  • Walking to Health Walks
  • Free activity planner

What happens when I finish?

At week 10 of the programme, you will have gained the confidence, knowledge, motivation, and skills to exercise independently without the support of the exercise referral team.

To continue with the benefits of exercise you will need to participate in 30 minutes of moderate exercise at least 5 times per week.

At your final consultation, we will recommend which activities you should continue to maintain and develop your exercise levels.

Finally, you will given the opportunity to take out a membership ‘ at a reduced rate’ (but don’t worry this will be discussed with you towards the end of your programme)
