Fun Climb at Parklands Leisure Centre, Leicester
Fun climb is an entertaining activity for the whole family to enjoy at Leicester’s premier Fun Climb centre, Parklands Leisure Centre. The new way to enjoy indoor climbing, not only is it a fun activity for both kids and adults, but a great way to get exercise too!
To enjoy Fun Climb, you require no previous climbing experience and it’s the easiest and safest way to get into the sport. We provide all the necessary equipment, you just need to be ready for fun! Climbers must be at least six years old and weigh a minimum of 10kg.
We have 18 number of routes and obstacles for you to enjoy.
Each climbing session lasts one hour, so it’s best to arrive 15 minutes prior to your session so we can go through a safety demonstration and we can show you how to put on the harness. We will also show you how the auto belay system works and how it slowly lowers you back to the ground when you reach the top.
What to wear:
Trainers and trousers should be worn when climbing. If a skirt is worn then shorts or trousers need to be worn underneath. All long hair should be tied back. Skirts and dresses can restrict movement, therefore we advise against wearing them on the climbing wall.

Family Fun Climb:
Climbing as a family brings you closer and a great way for you and your children to have lots of fun while exercising, building trust, strength and confidence. Challenge your family members to a race and see who can get to the summit quickest.
Fun Climb Birthday Party:
A Fun Climb birthday party is innovative and action-packed that’s fantastic for climbers aged six and above. The unique auto belay system ensures every birthday party is held in a fun, safe environment. It also helps make exercise a game, helping people overcome a fear of heights, or test their physical strength, making it a birthday party everyone will remember.
If you want something a little different for your child’s party, then why not try climbing? The kids will get active as well as having great fun scaling our fantastic walls, with a multitude of different routes and challenges to enjoy, all set up by our experts. Naturally, mums and dads can have a go too.
With a Parklands Leisure Centre climbing party, you will have the party area to enjoy food and drink, sing birthday songs and relax after your activity.

Climbing for Schools:
Fun climb can be hired for parties and school trips. Our instructors will go through a safety demonstration, then they will be free to have fun and enjoy the variety of walls.
Children can benefit hugely from the walls in a safe fun way and will learn control, strength, balance, team work, to overcome obstacles and to conquer their fears.
We have an offer where schools and local community groups can use both the Fun Wall and Soft Play at the same time for groups of children for discounted costs. Please enquire for further details. Discounts available during term time only

Play World – Multi-tiered Soft Play Zone
Parklands’ Play World soft play zone boasts a four tier multi-activity soft play structure, featuring slides and trampolines. Play World is available for casual play sessions as well as exclusive hire parties for an experience to remember!
