Junior football sessions start from 5 years old right through to 15, football fanatics can take part in Pay & Play sessions and also go on to play in our performance teams if they are keen and committed.
We have a highly qualified team trained to coach the different junior age groups and to top it all we have pitches of various sizes, all laid down with the latest 3G Astroturf to soften the inevitable fall or two!
Developed specifically for boys and girls aged 5-15, our Westway Skills Programme is a great way for children to improve their football skills.
Delivered by our fantastic FA qualified coaches using drills and match play on state-of the-art pitches, children will develop:
Fundamental movement skills (e.g. agility, balance, coordination, and speed)
Technical skills (e.g. ball mastery, dribbling, passing & receiving, and shooting)
Game understanding (e.g. awareness and decision making)
Social skills (e.g. communication, teamwork, and responsibility)
Players who are committed and enthusiastic also have the chance to progress through to the Development Squad (ages 6-7) or our Westway FC youth teams (ages 7 to 12). We have strong links with local professional academies and have been a stepping stone for many players who now play at a higher level.
The Westway Skills Programme runs throughout the week. Take a look at the timetable below. Please note, the Westway Skills Programme only runs during term-time.
We have junior football teams that play in a competitive league during the football season. Our teams range from u8 – u12.
Our primary aim is to ensure that young people remain engaged in a healthy and positive activity, playing good, attractive football in a happy, safe and respectful environment.

The Rising Ballers College is Westway’s very own college, nurturing young football talent whilst students study for the BTEC Level 3 in Sport (equivalent to 3 A-Levels). This college provides students with the opportunity to compete in leagues and tournaments, gain work experience, become an FA Qualified Coach, and to showcase themselves in games against pro academies.
