Whether played on a grass field, hard court surface, astroturf or ice, hockey is a demanding sport that requires explosive bursts of energy. Playing the sport regularly will help you to gain a good level of overall cardiovascular fitness and will develop your lower body strength and improve your reaction times and hand-eye co-ordination.
Sessions available at our centres may include Back to Hockey for those who want to return to the sport, Rush Hockey which is a smaller, faster version of the game aimed at adults and Uni Hoc for indoors play or regular hockey sessions.
Sledge hockey is a form of ice hockey designed for players with physical disabilities that affect their lower bodies. Players sit on double-bladed sledges and use two sticks to pass, handle and shoot the puck, as well as to propel their sledge.
