If your child wishes to work on a specific stroke or skill, then they can take advantage of the holiday ‘crash’ courses that are open to everyone from complete beginners who want to make rapid progress, to those already on our swim lesson programme and which are run at all our centres that offer swimming and, by extension, swim lessons.
These courses are a great way for your children to develop swimming skills, focus on a specific stroke that they may find harder than others, a new technique, or even learn a completely new discipline.
Courses such as these will normally run for four or five days and are based on the ability – and, occasionally, the age – of the child in question, meaning the course is crafted specifically for them. Meanwhile, courses may also include entirely different disciplines, such as water polo, synchronized swimming, diving, snorkeling, water safety or even Rookie Lifeguarding courses. Furthermore, if your child is struggling with one particular stroke or technique in particular, then the course can be designed to remedy that in the shortest possible time.
Usually, these courses will take place during school holiday periods, the dates of which obviously differ, depending on which centre you’re registered at and include the following:
• February half term
• Easter holidays
• May half term
• Summer holidays
• October half term
• Christmas holidays
Please contact your local centre for full details of the crash courses they are offering.
