Senior Swimming Sessions with Everyone Active

Here at Everyone Active, we believe that swimming is superb exercise for everyone, regardless of age, ability, fitness level or experience. This is why we provide specific swim sessions for a cross-section of society, including Senior Swimming Sessions.

These are lane-swimming sessions open only to swimmers aged 50 and over. This means you can take your time in the lanes and use them as a social opportunity, as well as a way to stay active and keep fit. It’s also really popular, with around 230,000 people attending senior sessions each month

Where can I Find a Senior Swimming Session?

Senior swim sessions are available at all Everyone Active centres with a pool – of which there are more than 120 all over England – so there’s sure to be one near you.

What are the Benefits of Senior Swimming Sessions?

Swimming in any form is great exercise. Not only is it a whole-body workout, but thanks to the extra resistance of water, you’re building strength and boosting your cardio fitness at the same time. The buoyancy offered by the water means you’re less likely to hurt yourself and makes it ideal if you’re recovering from injury or returning to exercise after a long lay-off.

These sessions are also a great opportunity to meet up with friends, socialise and get active together. Not only does this make them great for your physical wellbeing, but your mental health as well.
