This is the first stage towards becoming a swimming teacher. Candidates will be given basic knowledge on all aspects of teaching. You will be expected to complete a logbook and teach small groups on poolside. When qualified you will be able to support a level 2 Teacher. You need to be a minimum age of 16 years to participate on this course.
The Level 2 Teaching Swimming is the 2nd stage of the teaching qualification structure. Focus is on teaching swimming, covering a range of technical knowledge and practical skills. Once qualified the holder of the Level 2 will be fully equipped to teach swimming. You need to be a minimum age of 16 years and have already passed the Level 1 to participate on this course.
This course develops your knowledge, skills and abilities as a swimming teacher for babies and toddlers/pre-school children. It builds on the SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming qualification and gives you the skills to independently plan and deliver a series of baby and toddler swimming lessons.

This is a one-day course providing all the basics of water management and water safety to protect both the public and your reputation. On completion, you will have the skills to test pool water, understand the factors that contribute to pool water quality, explain to bathers what can affect pool water quality, and understand the importance of good hygiene and cleanliness in and around the swimming pool.

This is a PWTAG Approved Pool Plant Operator course. It covers everything you need to effectively maintain a swimming pool. You will learn about circulation, filtration, disinfection, pH correction and heating of pool water. You will also learn how to maintain water, which is safe and pleasant to swim in, how to correctly test pool water and understand how to restore it to ideal conditions. This certificate is valid for three years.

By taking this update course, you will be recognised by employers and the industry for keeping your technical knowledge of pool plant and water treatment up to date. You should take the Pool Plant Operator Revalidation before your current Pool Plant Operator certificate expires.
