Do you need an exercise programme for the whole family? Are you and a group of colleagues looking for a gentle approach to getting active? Do you need motivation to take that first step?
To celebrate Basildon New Town’s 70th Anniversary, Basildon Council and Everyone Active are looking for 70 inactive people to send on our free Backside to Trackside fitness programme.
The programme runs for 9 weeks starting in mid-May and will end with all participants taking part in a 5km walk / run on Saturday 13th July at the Sporting Village.
Everyone Active personal trainer, Andy Stead will lead the programme. Andy will run 3 sessions a week at the Sporting Village, each week will be focused on a different theme. Participants are encouraged to attend at least one of the weekly sessions plus additional classes hosted by sports, wellbeing and fitness experts from Basildon.
In addition to the themed training sessions, Andy will provide training tips and support via video and social media content throughout the programme.
Participants will get free access to the running track at the Sporting Village for the duration of the programme.
