Local residents in Fareham are benefiting from having top-class leisure facilities on their doorstep.
Fareham Leisure Centre, which is managed by Everyone Active in partnership with Fareham Borough Council, has been recognised for its outstanding services following a thorough assessment by Sport England’s leading national quality scheme, Quest.
The centre was awarded the status of ‘outstanding’ through the Quest Process, becoming the only facility in the country to have been recognised for the last four Quest assessments.
Quest was established in 1996 and is the best-known improvement programme within the leisure sector. It defines industry standards and encourages the ongoing development of facilities and services.
The centre went through a rigorous inspection process in order to achieve the accolade, including mystery visits and a two-day, on-site assessment to evaluate all aspects of its operations and management.
The award not only recognises the consistently high-quality services delivered by staff and the top-class facilities on offer to customers at the centre, it also acknowledges the extra effort by Everyone Active to engage the community and improve individuals’ health and wellbeing through fun, affordable activity.
Holly Hill Leisure Centre, which is located in Sarisbury Green, was recognised at the Quest NBS and CIMSPA Conference for having the second-best mystery visit in the country. This meant an unidentified representative enjoyed the level of customer service received while visiting the centre.
“We are really pleased to have been recognised by Quest for both of the sites in Fareham. The outstanding ranking is a testament to the on-going hard work and passions of our colleagues to providing a top class service.“It’s fantastic that both of our centres have been recognised by Quest and I’m proud of our colleagues at both centre. It’s great that local people can rest assured they will be getting the best service when they use our facilities.”
Ryan Grant, Everyone Active contract manager
“Congratulations to both Fareham and Holly Hill Leisure Centre on these awards! I know the staff work really hard to provide residents with the best service they can and to help people to be fit and active, so I’m really pleased these efforts have been recognised.”
