On Thursday 10th September Watford Leisure Centre Central, operated by Everyone Active in partnership with Watford Borough Council, had a visit from the Mayor, Dorothy Thornhill, who is supporting the new Eat Fit course.
Everyone Active are working in partnership with the Michael Green Foundation to hold an 8-week Eat Fit course, which is for those with Type 2 Diabetes or looking for advice on healthy eating. The course starts on the 7th October and it is supported by the council and the Mayor of Watford.
“We were delighted to have the support of the council and the Major for this healthy eating course,” says Everyone Active General Manager, Gary Foley. “The Michael Green Foundation are a fantastic charity that do lots of great work to change the lives of people with Type 2 Diabetes and we are excited to be a part of that”. “Not only will you be able to receive advice from experts on Type 2 Diabetes but you will also get help with goal settings, nutrition, exercise, the dangers of obesity, food labels, portion sizes and health snacking”.
