Members and colleagues get active to raise money for Mind

On Saturday (14th April) more than 75 colleagues and members joined forces to celebrate the launch of a new fitness class and raised nearly £200 for mental wellbeing charity Mind.

In June last year, Everyone Active pledged to raise £100,000 for Mind, to help ensure no one has to face a mental health problem alone.

Everyone Active’s centres across Nuneaton and Bedworth have pledged to raise £1,000 before June next year to help them achieve this goal. The leisure operator kick started its fundraising efforts in June last year by organising a family fun day that raised £150 for mind.

To help reach their fundraising target, colleagues and members at Nuneaton Academy took part in an hour long Body Attack 100 class. The event raised nearly £200 for Mind, and encouraged more than 75 people to get active and try something new.

Body Attack is the sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. The high-energy interval training class combines aerobic moves with strength exercises.

“We are proud to be working with Mind as our chosen charity partner. The team at Mind carry out lots of great work and are passionate about raising awareness of mental health. I am delighted that our members and colleagues have raised such a fantastic amount for Mind while staying active.”

“It was a fantastic turn out for the launch of Body Attack 100! All ages and abilities came together to enjoy the buzz of group fitness. It was a great opportunity to participate and promote your own wellbeing as well as helping to raise money for such a worthy cause!”
