We’re pleased to announce a new way of gaining access through the turnstiles at Whitwick and Coalville Leisure Centre using your mobile phone.
A red circular Smart Tile has been installed on top of each turnstile and they are now LIVE!
This means the Membership Card option on the Everyone Active app, will be replaced with ‘Turnstile / Gate Access’. When you click on this new option, you can either scan the QR code or tap your mobile phone on the Smart Tile and it will validate your access, allowing you entry more quickly and easily.
This new technology allows us to reduce the number of plastic Everyone Active cards issued, and follows our strategy to be net zero carbon emitting by the end of 2030.

What you need to do when you arrive:
- Open the Everyone Active app. If you haven’t downloaded the app yet, tap the below icons for the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Select ‘Turnstile/Gate Access’. It is important to note that you must be logged into the app.
- Scan the QR code or select ‘Tap Phone’ on screen and hold your smartphone just above the tile to check your membership or booking is valid.
- Come on in!
