Silksworth in the running for top industry award

Everyone Active colleagues are celebrating after being told that the centre is in the running to receive a top industry award.

Silksworth Sports Complex, which is managed by Everyone Active on behalf of Sunderland City Council, has been shortlisted for Centre of the Year at the ukactive Active Uprising Awards (formerly the Flame Awards) – one of the sports and leisure sector’s most prestigious events.

The centre has been shortlisted in recognition of the vast range of facilities its offers to the local community, which provide something to encourage everyone to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle, regardless of age or ability.

In total, Everyone Active has achieved 12 short listings across six categories at the Active Uprising Awards. The winners being announced at an event held on Thursday 21 June.

The sports and leisure operator will be hoping to repeat its success of previous years, where it has taken home multiple accolades including the converted Operator of the Year Award.
