Based on government guidance around Coronavirus/COVID-19, we have had to make the difficult decision to postpone 2020 Midhurst Sportive .
We know that this will be disappointing for many of you, as it is for us as event organisers and the many parties that we work with to deliver the event. We have not taken this decision lightly, but we feel it is the correct one. Based on the government’s advice to restrict unnecessary contact with others, we feel that it is in the public interest to take these steps to help protect the health and wellbeing of competitors, staff, volunteers and spectators and to alleviate the risk of an additional burden on the emergency services at a hugely testing time.
We are looking to reschedule the event on an alternative date and will be in touch as soon as we have confirmed a new date.
Every competitor that has already registered for a place in this year’s event will be able to use their place in the rescheduled event. You will not have to do anything as you will be automatically entered into this race. Any participants that are unable to take part in the rescheduled event will be able to defer their entry to the 2021 event.
We will post regular updates on our website and social media channels and will endeavour to answer any questions as quickly as we can.
The Midhurst Sportive will take you on a 100km route through the stunning South Downs National Park. There are some great climbs across the South Downs and through the Meon Valley with the route leading back to Midhurst via Old Winchester Hill and through some picturesque country lanes. This event is being delivered in aid of the charity MIND.
