We’re delighted to have reopened our doors at Everyone Active and it’s fantastic to see our members back at centres across the country.
Our centres have an essential role to play in supporting communities for the weeks and months ahead. Our site teams continue to work tirelessly to ensure all centres are safe settings for both customers and colleagues.
Following the end of the first lockdown, the business introduced a phased reopening plan to ensure the quality of service was maintained for all; launching an online bookings system and requesting customers where possible, arrived at our centres already dressed to take part in their chosen activity. Further measures were introduced in centres, such as one-way systems to reduce traffic flow and guarantee social distancing.
With the swimming facilities in focus, the reduced lockdown period in November encouraged us to maintain the air and water flow in the pool halls. All of this helped ensure the buildings could reopen in a safe and swift manner.
“I’m so relieved that my son Reuben can resume his much-needed swimming lessons. It will have a really positive impact on his hyper mobility disability. We are in Tier 2 in Chichester so I’m glad to hear lessons will be resuming shortly!”
A successful October in numbers
We had successfully reopened a variety of swim sessions and throughout October welcomed 491,831 customers to public swim sessions and over 107,000 swim lesson students. As our centres provided vital sanctuaries for the health and wellbeing of all. Notably during this period, the over-60s age group were the leading returners to our pools seeing in excess of 190,000 swimming customers in October 2020.
We look forward to welcoming all ages back into the pool in December and keeping all communities fit and active!
