Lammas Leisure Centre Health Hub

Lammas Health Hub

Everyone Active have opened a dedicated ‘Health Hub’ at Lammas Leisure Centre to create a community space for activities centered on health and wellbeing. It will increase opportunities for people living with long term health conditions, disabilities, vulnerable and/or inactive people to access activities and create peer support groups.

The Health Hub will be used as a space to encourage people to access their local leisure centre, who otherwise may not be doing. The groups set to run at the Health Hub include; mental health peer support group, learning disability peer support group, learning courses and adult and child choirs.

Activities already running in the Health Hub include;

  • Working age dementia peer support Tuesdays 1.30-3.30
  • Exercise Referral Coffee morning to find out more about the Exercise Referral Scheme running in Ashfield Monday 10-11am Starting in January
  • Smoking Cessation clinic Tuesday and Thursday 10-12
