Active For Life 2024

Centre Activities | Community Venue Sessions | Be Active Together

Between Monday, May 20th, and Sunday, May 26th, a week of FREE activities specifically aimed at older adults is taking place at both Tudor Grange Leisure Centre and North Solihull Sports Centre, plus other community venues.

Now in its twelfth year, the event is hosted with the goal of empowering older people to enjoy exercise and find new ways to stay active.

All sessions taking place throughout the week have been adapted and designed to suit the demographic, with activities available for a range of different abilities and interests. Both members and non-members are welcome to the event free of charge.

What’s taking place across the centres?

  • A range of group exercise classes including tai chi, virtual Body Balance & forever fit.
  • A variety of walking sports such as netball and tennis.
  • Health checks at North Solihull Sports Centre by the fitness team.
  • Gym sessions between 10:00-14:00 all week at both centres.
  • Swimming available at both centres (must be booked in advance at reception).
  • Racquet sport sessions including badminton, table tennis and pickleball.
