About this Centre
We’ve teamed up with the University of Derby to bring the local community a fantastic leisure facility that’s packed with all the very latest sports and fitness equipment to help you on the way to your goals. Whether you prefer to hit the gym, give climbing a go on our indoor wall, try a variety of sports and activities in the versatile sports hall, we’ve got something for you. The centre also boasts two squash courts, two outdoor tennis/netball courts, two group fitness studios, a group cycling studio and even a couple of outdoor 3G synthetic pitches.

University of Derby Sports Centre Facilities
Gym
Our fantastic gym is packed with all the very latest fitness equipment that will help you reach your goals. Whether you prefer a heart-thumping cardio workout, pumping iron in the free weights area or working the resistance machines, we’ve got you covered.
Group Fitness Studio
Our two group fitness studios play host to our fabulous variety of classes. Whether you’re after an intense Les Mills BODYPUMP class or a more relaxing Yoga or Pilates session, you’re sure to find a class for you. There really is something for everyone, whatever your age or fitness level.
Sports Hall
The spacious and versatile sports hall plays host to a huge variety of sports and activities. These include badminton, basketball, 5-a-side football and volleyball, while it also comes with cricket nets.
Climbing Wall
Our climbing facilities are extensive. Along with a minimum of six high ropes leading you up the main wall, there’s also a bouldering section, a lattice board, finger boards for training, as well as lead climbing facilities.
Artificial Football Pitch
We also have two outdoor 3G synthetic pitches, which can be hired for a variety of different sports. The upper pitch is marked out for 11-a-side & 5-a-side football, while the lower pitch is marked out for Rugby.

Outdoor Courts
Our two outdoor courts can be used either for tennis or netball. So, whether you’re training or just having fun with friends, come down and have a go!
