Holiday Activities

This holiday let the kids drive themselves up the wall! These exciting, action packed climbing sessions are perfect for kids of all ages and abilities. The Cragg climbing centre provides a fun, safe environment for kids to take part in bouldering, top roping and belaying. Our holiday sessions also involve teamwork activities and help to build social skills and encourage speaking and listening. Your only problem will be keeping them on the ground when we hand them back.

Book the sessions by using our online system or calling reception (please be aware that all family members need to be booked in separately). If you are not a member, you can sign up for free and book using our app or online.

Our climbing holiday camps run daily throughout school holidays from 9:00am-12pm. Please check with Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre for available dates by calling 01449 674980.

Family Taster Sessions (60 minutes)

Looking for a fun activity to do with your kids this holiday? Climbing is a fantastic family activity, so why not come and have a go as a family. The family climbing intro involves lots of climbing, both in the ropes room and bouldering. A super fun and active 60 minute session! The minimum booking of ‘family’, is 1 adult and 1 child (child must be over 5 years+).

Climbing Tasters (60-90 minutes)

Our taster sessions are a great way to start climbing. Whether your child is a complete beginner or has climbed before, our taster sessions provide the perfect insight into the climbing courses that we offer here. The course involves lots of climbing, both in the ropes room and bouldering. A super fun and active 90 minute session!

Holiday NICAS

NICAS Level 4 – Intro

Invite only (for our current level 3 NICAs climbers, interested in progressing to level 4).

While the idea of lazing around on a sun-kissed beach, by the pool (cocktail in hand, naturally) or strolling gently around a city sounds like the perfect break for many, it doesn’t apply to all holiday makers.

There are plenty of you that like to get out there and enjoy a more active holiday, pushing your mind and body to the limit, whether that’s in the water, up a mountain, in the desert, or just on a hillside in Derbyshire (other counties are available). Wherever you find yourself, there’s a great range of holiday activities you could be doing. Here are some of the best you could be doing while you’re away, especially if you want to offset the evening’s culinary and alcoholic extravagances (you are on holiday, after all).
