Masterclasses with Sasha Corbin
Everyone Active have teamed up with Sasha Corbin, former England Roses player & Saracens Mavericks Captain, to deliver Masterclasses in partnership with Solo Sessions. Sasha will support players to improve their netball skills, understand what it takes to be an elite athlete and, most importantly, have fun while training. These session are a great opportunity for aspiring players to learn from one of the greatest, most skilful players in the game.
All masterclasses are suitable for players in school years 8+ that are currently in a club or academy programme.
Who is Sasha Corbin?
Sasha grew up in Tottenham, London and wanted to be a professional sportswoman from a young age t…hanks to her sporty childhood. It wasn’t until she was at secondary school that she began to play netball (although she was inspired by watching her mum play netball every week before this).
At the age of 15 Sasha was selected to go to South Africa on a netball tour led by Team Bath. After this, Sasha trialed for the England Netball U17 team and got selected for the U19s as GK (although she now plays WA or C). At just 16 years old she played in the Florida World Youth Championships, winning a silver medal.
Sasha studied Sports Performance at Bath University while also playing in the Team Bath Superleague team where she won the Superleague three times in total. She also captained the Saracens Mavericks for four out of the five years she played for them (winning another Superleague title in 2011). Other than enjoying immense Superleague success, Sasha has had a phenomenal international netball career so far with 56 caps to her name.
