A variety of free activities will be on offer during a family open day at three leisure centres next month.
Ryedale Swim and Fitness Centre, Derwent Swim and Fitness Centre and Ryedale Sports Centre, run by award-winning operator Everyone Active in partnership with Ryedale District Council, are hosting the family open day on Friday, August 26.
Free sessions will take place between 10am-4pm at Ryedale Swim and Fitness Centre and Derwent Swim and Fitness Centre, while Ryedale Sports Centre will offer free sessions from 5pm-8pm.
Among the activities available will be free swimming, free group fitness taster classes, free personal training taster sessions, roller disco and Active Antz.
A number of partner organisations will be present at Ryedale Swim and Fitness Centre, including Scarborough and Ryedale Mountain Rescue and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, while local clubs will be promoting their services.
“We very much look forward to welcoming the local community to our family open day this month. We hope it will show people that we have an activity for everyone in our centres, no matter what your age, ability or interests.”
