It is with regret that The Lexicon Half Marathon this year will not go ahead, and we apologise to all those who were due to take part. The safety of the local community is obviously our number one priority and we want to ensure we host this popular and celebrated event in the safest environment. Everyone Active thoroughly enjoys being an organiser of the marathon and we look forward to being a part of it again next year.”

Every runner that has already registered for a place in this year’s event will automatically be entered into The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon event next year, Sunday, May 9 2021. You will be automatically entered into this race and do not need to do anything.

We hope that you will join us next year in making the next Bracknell half marathon a real success.
Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon said: “We are hugely disappointed that The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon has been cancelled this year, but having reviewed the event with all partners, and considering current guidelines, feel this is the right decision to make in such unprecedented times. We of course look forward to making next year’s event even bigger and better, when we can come together as a community to celebrate The Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon on May 9 2021.”

Venue

The race village will be in Bond Square, Bond Way, The Lexicon, Bracknell, RG12 1RQ (adjacent to Waitrose). The village will contain the information desk and the baggage drop off / collection point. The start will be adjacent to the race village. The finish will be in Union Square (at the crossroads of The High Street and Braccan Walk, The Lexicon, Bracknell). Parking

All race entrants will be entitled to free parking in The High Street car park, The Ring, Bracknell, RG12 1LP. Please show either your official race number or proof of entry on arrival between 07:00-08:30 at the car park entrance. There will be no time limit for your stay so please feel free to avail yourselves of all the facilities within The Lexicon after your run. The High Street car park is a short distance (approx. 200m) away from the race village / start area.  IF YOU USE ANY OTHER TOWN CENTRE CAR PARK YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PAYING THE RELEVANT FEE.

Public Transport

Bracknell railway station and bus depot are both short (300m) walks away from the start area.

Toilets

Toilets are located on the ground floor of the Avenue car park, The Avenue, The Lexicon, RG12 1AP. These are a short (100m) walk from the race village area.

Course

The race will start and finish in The Lexicon. The runners will leave and re-enter the town centre via London Road. On the way out the runners will pick up an anti-clockwise loop of Bracknell at the Running Horse Roundabout. On reaching the Running Horse Roundabout for the second time, the runners will return to the town centre the same way that they came out before finishing in the heart of The Lexicon. Entries

The only way to enter is via the event’s own online booking system. Entry Fees are non-refundable.

Wheelchairs

Due to the nature of the course, the organisers regret that wheelchair entries are not accepted for this event.

Event T-shirts

ALL finishers will receive a commemorative event t-shirt when they cross the finish line.

Medals

All participants completing the course will receive a commemorative medal.

Prizes

There will be prizes for the first three finishers in the Mens Open, Ladies Open, Mens Veteran 40+ and Ladies Veteran 35+ Categories. There will also be prizes for the first finishers in the Mens  Veteran 50+, Mens Veteran  60+, Ladies Veteran 45+ and Ladies 55+ Categories.

Runners Packs

Runners packs will be posted approximately 7 – 10 days before the event. Please allow a few days for your pack to arrive before contacting the office. Runners entering the race after 30th April will need to collect their runners packs from the race village on the morning of the race.

The Lexicon

Runners, their families and other supporters are welcome to take the opportunity to check out the many shops, cafes, restaurants and other facilities within the town centre.

General Terms & Conditions

All participants must have reached their 17th birthday on or before the day of the race.

Entry fees are non refundable except in exceptional circumstances at the discretion of the Organisers.

Runners unable to take part on the day MUST NOT pass their numbers to someone else.
