Football at Westway

Whether it’s adult or junior football you’re looking for there’s no better place to play the ‘beautiful game’.

Adults can hire a pitch or try out Bubble Football while juniors can enjoy their first taste of the game, learn essential skills from FA qualified coaches and have the opportunity to play for our successful youth teams.

If you want a new challenge or try something different then give the innovative new Futsal Arena a try.

Pitch perfect

Our football pitches have been recently resurfaced with the latest 3G technology and floodlighting so you can play all year round. We have;

  • 11 a-side spectator pitch
  • 8 a-side pitch
  • 6 a-side pitch
  • Five 5 a-side pitches

Rising Ballers College

The Rising Ballers College is Westway’s very own college, nurturing young football talent whilst students study for the BTEC Level 3 in Sport (equivalent to 3 A-Levels). This college provides students with the opportunity to compete in leagues and tournaments, gain work experience, become an FA Qualified Coach, and to showcase themselves in games against pro academies.

Football Training

  • Three training sessions & one game a week
  • Performance analysis sessions
  • Strength and conditioning sessions
  • Delivered by UEFA ‘A’ Licensed coaches
  • Prove yourself against top academies, with a chance of getting signed

Education

  • Study BTEC Level 3 in Sport (equivalent to 3 A- Levels)
  • Pre-requisites: 4 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above or BTEC Level 2 in Sport
  • Delivered by Onside Education

Future Pathways

  • University
  • USA scholarships
  • Employment in the sports industry
  • Professional or semi-professional football

Closing Time Policy

Please note that at 10pm (Monday – Friday), 8pm (Saturdays), or 9pm (Sundays), the pitch lights will be switched off which indicates that your session has ended and that the Centre is now closed. You will then be provided access to the main building in order to use the shower facilities if necessary. If using the shower facilities, please be reminded that you are required to exit the main building by no later than 10.15pm (Monday – Friday), 8.15pm (Saturdays), or 9.15pm (Sundays).
