Everyone Active is celebrating the inspirational women of Lincolnshire with the launch its ‘Our Girls Can’ campaign at its West Lindsey Leisure Centre in Gainsborough, Caistor Sports Hall in Caistor and De Aston Sports Centre in Market Rasen.
The sports and leisure operator, which manages the facilities in partnership with West Lindsey District Council, officially launched the campaign on International Women’s Day (8th March 2015) to celebrate women getting active and achieving their goals.
The campaign invites people to nominate women, including friends, family, or workmates of any age and ability, that have inspired them to take on a new active challenge. All entries will be put into a prize draw and will give the nominee a chance to win exciting prizes, including £500 towards a well-deserved holiday.
Nominations can be made via the centres’ Facebook and Twitter pages, by summarising in 120 characters how their nomination has inspired them to be more active. *Terms and Conditions apply.
The competition is being held in support of Sport England’s national This Girl Campaign, which was launched earlier this year to celebrate active women everywhere.
Kerry O’ Neil, Everyone Active’s General Manager at West Lindsey Leisure Centre and Caistor Sports Hall, said: “We’re very excited to be launching the Our Girls Can campaign. It’s the ideal opportunity for us all to show our appreciation for the unsung female heroes in our community and celebrate those that have inspired us to achieve our goals.
“Sport England has done a great job of empowering women across the UK through their campaign and we want to help continue that message in Lincolnshire. We’re encouraging everyone to get involved and make their nomination!”
Nominations can be made before 8th April 2015. The winner will be chosen by the centre and announced on 15th April 2015 before being entered into a national prize draw to win £500 in holiday vouchers.
