We offer a safe and stimulating play environment for your child. We believe in safeguarding and providing for the interests and well being of all children whom we encourage to participate in our activities.

We understand that parents of young children sometimes find it difficult to find enough time for themselves and particularly to replenish the energy necessary to keep up with a young family!

Children from 6 weeks up until their 5th birthday are welcome to join us at our crèche.

Children are accepted into the crèche on the understanding that parents/guardians are to remain on the premises.

The crèche is open: – Monday – Friday 9.30am – 12.00am


On your first visit to the crèche you will be asked to complete a registration card. The following information is required: – Child’s name, address, age and date of birth. Name of parent/guardian, contact number. G.P. name, address and contact number. Details of any medical problems or other conditions which we need to be made aware of. You will be asked to give a password at time of registration.

All information provided is confidential.


We have set ratios that we strictly adhere to in the crèche. These are in place to ensure the safety of the children in our care. Booking in advance is advised. If you can not attend the crèche please cancel you space with reception to ensure you do not get charged. Children can be in our care for a maximum of 2 hours.

Fit For Sport are the UK’s experts in Engaging and Educating children, young people and families through activity, and have been doing this for over 20 years. All holiday camps are Ofsted registered with a fun, qualified and experienced team at competitive prices. Activity leaders hold nationally recognised qualifications, are fully DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) checked and first aid trained.

Sports School

Sports School is a 50 weeks a year scheme to encourage and develop your child’s agility, balance and coordination. Sports School is a comprehensive scheme which enables all participates to join and improve continually.

Activities for children aged between 2.5 years – 15 years

Over 5’s


Gymnastics is a great way for children to increase agility, flexibility, balance and coordination while having great fun and interacting and working with other children. Gymnasts will take part in floor, beams, bars and trampett. During a term a variety of skills are achieved on all apparatus, with the opportunity to work towards our badge scheme under the guidance of one of our fully qualified coaches.

Monday and Thursday 16.00 – 16.55, 17.00 – 17.55 and 18.00 – 18.55 depending on ability


Children can enjoy learning new skills in a fun environment with similar aged peers. All classes are taught by qualified coaches who teach against an award system. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 16.00 – 16.55, 17.00 – 17.55 and 18.00 – 18.55

Saturday 09.00 – 09.55 and 10.00 – 10.55 depending on age

Mini Gym

3+ Years

Preschool Gymnastics for children from 2½ to 5 years. The class provides a structured activity to develop physical, social and intellectual awareness and fundamental movement skills. Tuesday 10.45 – 11.30 or Thursday 13.45 – 14.30


2 – 5 years

Drop-in Mini Gym is changing and becoming Gymtastic-Tots. This new and exciting course will be the first step on the ladder to gymnastics allowing parent and child’s interaction, discovering different equipment all under instruction from our qualified coaches Hayley and Katie.

Mini Bouncers

Dance Activities

For boys and girls aged 2-4 years, it’s all about fun, enjoyment and encouraging the children to express themselves through movement and dance. We have fantastic warm ups to great pop tracks and a really fun “descriptive moves” section where the children can dance together or on their own and learn some fabulous moves to show you! Its a great was for tots to meet others and enhance confidence, whilst having fun!

Birthday Parties

Allow your child and their friends to run riot or splash around in one of our parties. Choose to have a swimming pool party in the main or learner pool, football frenzy, bouncy castle, trampoline or an all sports parties.

Football Frenzy: Treat your child to a fun packed football kicking, goal scoring and skills session.

Active Antz: Let your child enjoy the pleasures of a bouncy castle, traditional party games, roll around in our soft play equipment and play parachute games.

All Sportz: If one sport is not enough, this session is more than ideal, an active session mixed with as many sports as possible, ranging from basketball, badminton through to indoor curling and plenty more. Please confirm what sports you would like.

Trampoline: A bouncing party they will never forget. Enjoy the bouncy castle and trampoline packed with lots of games.

Creative Learning Centre*: An under 5’s party to enjoy, an inflatable maze and a slide with soft play and parachute games.

Sportz Zone*: Why not wow your friends with an inflatable dome where you can play football, basketball, badminton or volleyball.

Wet ‘n’ Wild: A party full of splash ‘n’ smiles with bundles of fun, floats, pool games and many more activities to make the party really ‘wet n wild!!’

Inflatable*: Give your party the challenge of the inflatable, let the children battle the Viking Boat in a fun packed water session.

Our party leaders will look after all your needs to make sure everyone has a great time, and we’ll clear up the mess too!

Swimming Pool Activities

Swimming Lesson Crash Courses

We run Swimming lesson crash courses through most holidays. The following is an outline of what we aim to offer. For more information, please contact the centre for more details:-

Under 5’s Beginners – 5 day course – suitable for children aged 3-5 with little or no water experience. Helps to build confidence in the water.

Over 5 Beginners – 5 day course – Suitable for those aged 5 and over with little or no water experience. Helps to build confidence in the water.

5m +  (Stage 2+) – This session is designed to improve stroke technique over a small distance and aiming for a distance badge.

10m +  (Stage 3/4+) – This session is designed to improve stroke technique over a longer distance, and aiming for a distance badge.

Water Skills – This session is to aid those who struggle with getting to the bottom of the pool to collect sinkers, perform push and glides and to rotate from front to back.

Stroke Clinics – This session is ideal for those who are having trouble with specific strokes with regards to techniques, timing and breathing.

Diving – This session is to help aid diving techniques and understanding. Progressing from starting on the side to the block.

Shipwrecked – This session is an introduction for those who are interested in progressing to Rookie Lifeguard swimming lessons. Swimmers must be able to swim a minimum of 50 metres in deep water. Children will need to bring pajamas to wear.

Swim 4 Fitness – Coached

Why is this swim different to a normal swim?

  • This can be used as a warm down session after the gym

This workout is sizzling cardio dance that combines the hottest routines with the latest music from around the globe. It’s about feeling the beat and releasing your spirit – it’s the way you move!

It is unlike any other dance fitness programme! Incorporating elements of many different dance styles such as Latin, Brazilian, Jamaican, hip-hop and Reggaeton – but the emphasis is on having fun, releasing your spirit and feeling the beat!

NEW 5-a-side Leagues

Leisure Leagues are pleased to confirm that we are kicking off a brand new 5 a-side football league at Woodside Leisure Centre on Thursday 14th August 2014. There will be a total of 16 teams playing across two divisions each week between the times of 19:30-21:30, each game will cost just £29.00 per match and will last roughly half an hour.
